New Training Ground for WRFC

Details of our new outdoor training facilities for the forseeable future.

(See map in the Picture Section of Facebook)

Fairfield Community Primary School
Carnforth Drive
WorcesterWR4 9HG

Begins 1ST APRIL 2009 6.00pm till 7.00pm and then every Wednesday thereafter.

When the light gets better we have the opportunity to extend these times.

Training on grass so football boots can be worn.
Our younger Raiders teams will also be training at the same time to bring the club as a whole closer together and train at one venue. So please expect it to be busy.

As this is a school WE ARE EXPECTED TO KEEP THE SITE CLEAN AND TIDY MEANING NO LITTER WHATSOEVER IS TO BE LEFT AND ANY DAMAGE TO THE SCHOOL PROPERTY IS NOT ACCETABLE. THERE IS ALSO A LOT OF BUILDING WORK TAKING PLACE SO PLEASE WARN YOUR CHILD TO STAY AWAY FROM THE FENCED OFF AREAS.PLEASE ENSURE ALL PARENTS USE THE SCHOOL CAR PARK AS INDICATED AND DO NOT PARK ON THE MAIN ROAD. THE SMALL SIDE GATE ENTRANCE CAN BE FOUND AS INDICATED ON MAP NEAR THE ROADSIDE CLOSE TO THE PLAYING FIELD.

Negotiations are still on going with the school as we strive to move this club forward. We very much hope to use this school as our " home ground" or a " home base " for the future as eventually there will be a full size soccer pitch and mini soccer pitch installed at the school.P.S. We as a club especially the coaches would like to extend our thanks to Liz Jones, who in her limited spare time in searching the City of Worcester has managed to secure this venue for us.

WFA QUESTIONNAIRE

Last year the FA led the largest ever football consultation process withstakeholders, who attended discussion events and completed questionnaires.Over 17,000 customers took part in the County Website Survey by completingquestionnaires on line to provide critical baseline data for CountyFootball Association’s to write their Strategy for 2008-12 and action planfor year 1, the 2008-9 season. We would again thank those stakeholders whoattended consultation events across the county and/or completed ouron-line survey during 2008. We want to ensure that this communication with our stakeholders ismaintained and we are therefore making our on-line questionnaire availablefor a second year. We wish to discover from you, your involvement infootball, how you think we should develop the game locally and yourexperiences and opinions of the Worcestershire Football Association. Yourfeedback is really important to us and any information provided willremain strictly confidential. As part of our ongoing consultation process we would ask you to pleasetake the time to fill in this short questionnaire online. Adult Courses

Contact the Club Secretary or Chairman if you think you qualify for subsidised training. You can of course book direct if you cover your own costs.

Thanks

Dear Football Enthusiast. May I first take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and HappyNew Year. Thanks for everything you’ve done to develop football in the County this past year. It’s been great working in partnership with you. We have some really exciting news! As part of our aim to provide anexcellent coach education programme and service to you our customers, wehave developed a process with the FA so that you can now book onto ourcourses on-line. To access this facility you need to click on the followinglink http://eventspace.thefa.com/worcestershirefa/participant/s.aspx whichwill take you to the applicable section of our website. To confirm a placeon any of our courses you will first need a FAN number which you retain forfuture use. You may already have this number if you have accessed anyservices from the FA previously, however if you don’t have this number orhave misplaced it you can apply for a reminder. This can be accessed byclicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of any of our on-linecourses. You are then able to complete an application form for any of ouradvertised courses and make payment with a credit or debit card to secureyour place. Is that 21st century technology or what? Courses can still be booked by the ‘traditional’ method, that is,forwarding a completed application form to us with a cheque payment orcash. The only change will be that cheques will now be cashed immediatelyonce a place is allocated, usually being on receipt of the application andpayment, which will be the time places are confirmed. I trust you will all feel as we do that this is a major step forward toprovide a service much sought after by our customers. Lisa will continue toadminister all of the courses and I would like to take this opportunity tothank her for all her efforts and particularly the excellent work completedin ensuring this on line booking facility can be used. Lisa has worked longand hard to ensure the system works well and would also appreciate ongoingcomments from you our customers, regarding the service. One last reminder, we now have additional telephone lines at theWorcestershire FA but only on 01905 827137. Please note the old developmentnumber of 01905 827261 is discontinued. Best wishes.
